1.   Black Friday is       is my arena and boy do kick some major ass   .

2.  Christmas shopping this year will include   last minuteness, I'm usually SO on it, but after everything that's happened over the last 2 months I've been slackin on the shoppin (for others)  .

3.  Holiday shopping makes me       happy, I love shopping for other people, and getting that perfect gift. Well usually, this holiday season has been lackluster so far     .

4.  This year my Christmas list will include   an iPod Touch with Camera, glee season 1, The Office season 6, Gossip Girl season 3, and happiness   .

5.  Bargain hunter, or full price shopper?      I'm a bargain hunter, I do find ridiculously great deals on random crap .

6.  The best and worst things about shopping is        spending money I don't have.    .

7.  Online shopper or in-person shopper?       In person of course, nothing beats the thrill of the chase in person     .

I know, I know super slacking as this is Fill in the Blank Sunday NOT Friday. But unlike half of the world I had to work on Friday and missed just my 2nd black friday in the last 10 years probably. (The first one was when I was on Maui after my grammsy passed away, this one I just didn't have the energy to wake up early and go before work). Sad times, but at least I saved money... hopefully I did go shopping throughout the weekend. haha. How was your black friday? Fill In The Blank Friday

Now that I think about it this holiday season has been lackluster, I just haven't gotten into the spirit. Usually I'm counting down the days 'til Christmas. This year the only thing I'm looking forward to is watching the glee Christmas episode. I have to work on Christmas night I believe, not fun. I really just want this year to be done with, so I can start the new year fresh. I have high hopes for 2011, I'm ready for it to start.

1.   My Thanksgiving plans this year will include       hopefully a delicious meal prepared by my sister, football, the parade, being thankful for all the blessings in my life, and watching ALL the Thanksgiving episodes of Friends   .

2.  My favorite Thanksgiving was   the Thanksgivings spent with the Kawachi side family, we haven't had one of those  .

3.  My signature Thanksgiving dish is       I don't think I have one, I never cook Thanksgiving food, hmmm maybe this year I will     .

4.  My favorite Thanksgiving food is    STUFFING, I LOVE me some stuffing and my Grammsy's yams.... I'm sure you've had candied yams, but it's nothing compared to my Grammsy's recipe   .

5.  Thanksgiving free association!      moistmaker (YOU ATE MY SANDWICH!), the boy who hates thanksgiving, more bandages!, football, the gellercup, the macy's day parade, preparing for black friday .

6.  Thansgiving is        not my most favorite holiday, but I do enjoy the eating    .

7.  I am thankful for       great family and friends, they've really been there for me over the last couple of months; I guess I'm just thankful for the things in my life that don't SUCK      .

At the BART station in Pleasant Hills. Watch out San Francisco!
All my years visiting SF, I don't think I've ever taken a picture with the heart sculpture.
This Zoe, Priya's niece. The best quote of our trip came from her, "OH Sarah, you have Princess Jasmine pants." (in regards to my VS Pink sweats, that gather at the calves)
Ferry Building Marketplace in Embarcadero. MUST. VISIT. BOCCALONE. Meaty goodness.
Priya and I at the Irish Pub by our hotel. We got lucky... dueling pianos taking requests from the crowd + entire bar singing + semi decent hot guys + and magners OH magners.
San Francisco.... one my favoritest places. After my previously scheduled vacay to disneyland got cancelled, my roomie Priya suggest to reroute the trip to SF for some roomie fun. (How blessed I am to have friends like these). It was a super short trip and we crammed as much shopping and eating as we could. We started in Pleasant Hills and stayed with Priya's brother and his family for a couple of days. Priya's niece Zoe is ADORABLE! She asked me what my favorite color was EVERY 15 minutes. Too cute. Our last two days was spent in the city! We were able to go to the ferry building marketplace. I got to fulfill my dream of eating at Boccalone (a salami shop, the chef is on Food Network, his Salumi cone was featured on "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" recommended by Tyler Florence). FYI I'm a sucker for the Food Network. I finally got to go to the Marc by Marc Jacobs store, scored a great purse! We also found the time to meet with our cousins (both mine and Priya's) for drinks, as well as squeeze in time with our friend Michelle.  Our last night was spent in an Irish bar close to our hotel, singing along with the entire bar to "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Bad Romance," drinking Magners Irish Cider in 49ers glasses. It was the perfect ending to a great trip. I was so sad to come home.

Thank you to Priya and her entire family, my dad, and the great city of San Francisco. This was exactly what I needed.

Random thoughts:

  • Big things poppin..... check out what I've been doing on the side for Nonstop Honolulu: Outings. I'm looking forward to doing more of these, let the field trippin begin!
  • Harry Potter. I've tried for years to get into the books. I've seen a couple of movies and liked it, I really want to go to Harry Potter world. Now that the last movie is coming out I'm going to attempt reading the books again. I could not for the life of me get into it, I've tried 4 times already.
  • Dammit the Giants won the World Series. I love you SF, I loathe your Giants.
  • The Beatles entire collection is NOW available on iTunes!!! I don't know why I'm excited, I have EVERY Beatles album. I guess I'm just happy to see two of my favoritest things together (The Beatles and Apple).
  • I also want to read Jay-Z's book.

Andy Irons 1978-2010

"I surf because of you."

(Well surfed, because I haven't surfed in awhile) Andy Irons is my favoritest surfer. Long before I worked at the Bong, long before he was even sponsored by Bong. I used to think it was fate that I worked for the same company my favorite surfer was sponsored by. I used to dream of one day Andy would visit and fall madly in love... oh those days of being 19. That didn't happen, but I did get to meet him twice. I can't imagine the surf world without him. A.I. you will be missed.

Back from my mini San Francisco vacay with Priya! I hate the fact that time just FLIES by when you are on vacation, but when you are at work or not on vacation the days and weeks go on FOREVER. I'll definitely blog more about my trip later... here are just some random thoughts on my mind.

-San Francisco, a city I could definitely move to...

-I thought Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway album was the BEST break-up album, but on my trip I found John Mayer's Continuum. I downloaded this album back when it was first released, I guess I never really listened to his words. John Mayer you're kind of an asshole, but your music is amazing.

-OK I'll admit I like watching the new Hawaii 5-0.

-Urban Outfitters definitely NEEDS TO OPEN A STORE IN HAWAII NOWWWW. Now I say!

-Priya has this game for her iPod Touch, where you beat levels by beating a timer. I'm not sure what it is called, but it is addicting.

-I'm growing out my bangs. I say that all the time, but I'd really like to switch up my hairstyle. I can't wait for long hair.

-OH also still obsessed with Fleetwood Mac "Landslide." I've never been a fan of Fleetwood Mac but, I love this song SO much.

1.   My last haircut was       I think about 3 weeks ago at RAIZ Salon  .

2.  My most daring hair moment was       I'm never daring with my hair, only recently have I been wearing it down more     .

3.  A hairstyle I'd never be brave enough to try is       a really, really short hair style, like a pixie cut... it's cute but I don't think I'll ever match it     .

4.  I've always dreamt of being a (blonde, brunette or red-head)    blonde, NOT bleach blonde but like a dirty blonde   .

5.  My go-to hair do is       my signature: up in a ponytail!     .

6.  My biggest hair disaster was      it's a toss up between trying to highlight my own hair at home with Wayne's help (it turned blonde!!!) or the time I went with my ex-bf to Supercuts and while he was getting his haircut I decided to get my bangs trimmed (HORRIBLE idea) she trimmed it WAY too short, oh wait or when I was about 13 and my hair decided to get frizzy and thicker (damn puberty) .

7.  A hairstyle I am dying to try is        growing out my bangs! I want to so bad but I think it'll make my head look flat    .

8.  My best hair day was       any day I don't have to fuss over it, best hairstyle day would be when Malia's cousin braided the sides and I wore my hair half up, half down (I'd try to repeat this but I'm horrible at doing my own hair)      .

9.  The worst hairstyle I ever had was   again when I was 13 and my hair decided to go all crazy and turn frizzy and thick on me.

10.  My hair is       a pain in my ass on some days, but when life is feeling out of control, I feel like it's only thing I can control (that and the color of my nail polish)      .

What about you? Fill In The Blank Fridays
