I could always rely on good ol JT.

As I close a chapter maybe an entire volume in my life, I need to remember everything happens for a reason.

See how much time I have on my hands... I painted my nails leopard print last week. I took this picture on Friday so that is why they look pretty had it. It took me about 2 hours to finish. I got inspired by a Japanese magazine I picked up at Hakubundo. I also found $12 oxfords at Forever 21! I bought oxfords earlier this year from Vans (they looked the kind of shoes Bert wears on Sesame Street), only to return them a few days later because EVERYONE in my house said they look like bowling shoes. I wore my new F21 oxfords to work yesterday, they were too narrow for my big ass feet but they looked cute.

I've also be contemplating going back to school to become an elementary school teacher. Wayne says to really think through this decision because I'd be shaping the young minds of the future. And that's a lot of pressure. I've been feeling listless lately. Everyday is the same, work and then more work. Nothing all that exciting going on. It feels like I'm just waiting for my big trip to come along. I miss being 21, when it felt like you had the world in the palm of your hands and you could do anything you wanted. Growing up is stressful. I've been to 2 massages in the past 2 weeks and both masseuses (sp?) said I was too tense and that a young girl like me should not have this many back and neck aches. Tense from what? I'm not sure... life, I guess.

Oh and I forgot to finish this post on Saturday. So here you go....
It's 11 p.m., Saturday night, and I'm at home BLOGGING. Wow I am a G-Ma. Anna, Ala and I just watched Easy A. Honestly I wasn't all that excited about this movie, I thought it looked ok. Kind of like Saved or Mean Girls. WRONG well it wasn't as good as Mean Girls (as in I won't be quoting lines from it), it was still pretty good. Good enough to see again in theaters and definitely good enough to buy the DVD. It was really funny, Emma Stone was bad ass AND I loved her parents and Mr. Griffith, her English teacher. Also Penn Badgley (AKA Dan Humphrey!) hot, I die. AHHHHH I'm going to rewatch Gossip Girl right now, just to see him!

Last week Thursday was Anna Banana's Birthday. Anna isn't much of a birthday person, so Ala, Priya and I took her to dinner at Shabu Shabu house. And for dessert we went to Bubbies! Priya and I snuck in this candle and stuck it in her ice cream cone. Happy Birthday Roomie! I'm glad I have you to grow old with, seriously we are the old ladies of the house. Later that night we went to Kanpai to celebrate Rissa's birthday, she and Anna have the same birthday. Unfortunately it was a Thursday so we were only able to take one shot with her. Next time, next time we will make it up to you Riss!

I saw this on some other person's blog and I needed to spruce up my own blog but didn't have the skills nor the enthusiasm to think of something interesting to write about, so I decided to just fill in these blanks. So here goes...

1.   When I get a day to myself I like to      well if I didn't have to catch up on cleaning and errands, I like to sleep in, cook, hit the beach and just relax .

2.  High school was....      fun but not the greatest time of my life. I just don't get how people say it was the best time of your life, I think college totally trumps high school .

3.  A little dream I have is       to marry Zac Efron or Justin Timberlake  .

4.  A big dream I have is       to own my own business, a cute boutique if I move to Maui I was thinking Paia, or to move to Greece   .

5.  If I could drive any car my pick would be     I still want an Escalade .

6.  A time that I felt really and truly beautiful was       I'm not sure if this has happened yet, but if it did it was probably on a non fat day, standing next to really ugly people   .

7.  Tomorrow I will....       enjoy my day off–sleeping in, cooking, and spending a little qt with my bff Wayne Terada     .

I still don't think that my answers were exceptionally interesting, but I'll keep doing these but next time I'll actually do them on Fridays.

That's me and my t-shirt blanket, my Auntie Alda made it for me, out of all the UH and sports related shirts I've got (most of them for free!) during college. I have one in the works for all my favorite billabong t-shirts, hopefully I can visit her soon and we can work on another one together! Tonight we helped Tammy raise money for Pearl City High School at the USC-UH wahine vball match. I haven't been there in FOREVER, maybe since college. When I stepped through the security gate door, it just took me back to my college days! Working in the SID office and taking a gazillion KLS courses, the athletic department was my playground in college. During the school year it was running around helping out with EVERY sporting event possible, during the summer it was organizing our archives, oh and lots of checking out HOT athletes in between those times. hahaha. Those were definitely THE best days of college. It was hard work but I wouldn't have wanted any other job (COME ON... press row and box seats, and all I had to do was make copies and pass them out!). Now that I have a regular job (meaning M-F 7-4) I'm excited to be able to go to more UH sporting events as well as joining Priya and Rissa for Monday Night Football seshes.

40 days til disneyland!

Belated post.... before I left for Lanai (like 3 weeks ago, I know I know SLACKING). Cory organized a booze cruise for us bongers!!!! $30 for 90 min, OPEN BAR. The alcohol was cheap but after 2 drinks you couldn't really tell. hahaha. It was nice to be out on the water, and I didn't get seasick. I told Cory we should do this EVERY month! The only crappy thing was with all that drinking I was forced to hold my pee. They had a bathroom, down below deck, but come on... would YOU use a bathroom that drunk people use while out at sea, can you imagine how gross it is or how many people have missed the toilet bowl. Gross.

Haven't done this in awhile... Here's last week's lunch! GYROS! Inspired by a dinner at Olive Tree. My sister helped me out with this one. She made the marinade for the steak (lamb was a little too expensive). I mixed it with grape tomatoes from Ho Farms (farmers market bought of course). I made the tzatziki yogurt sauce (according to an Alton Brown recipe). I found the good pita bread at R. Field at Foodland, I looked in the bread aisle, but all they had was that whole wheat dry crap. I wanted some goooood pita bread, so glad I found it at R. Field. Top everything off with some feta. It was delish.

This week's lunch is Japanese Beef Stew... pictures to come!
