Here are some of my favorite photos from me and Wayne's first photo sesh field trip. Over the past year we both got DSLR cameras and we're still learning to use it. We picked Aloha Tower Marketplace for our first photo sesh, because the weather was great, there was lots of people, places, and things around us, and I wanted to eat some wings at Hooters after. haha. Wayne invited 2 of his teacher friends who also are into photography. My favorite part was actually going up the tower. I've never actually been up there, amazing because I have taken many trips to Aloha Tower. We are planning to do more of these maybe once a month. I really want to take a photography class, I was thinking the Outreach College at UH. I've taken photojournalism when I was in school, but that was like over 5 years ago (geeeez that sounds like a long time).
Places I'd like to go on Photog field trips to:
The Contemporary Museum
A contest from the upcoming Vans Triple Crown
Kailua Town
D-town
Honolulu Academy of Arts
Picnic at Kakaako Park
Kam Drive Inn Swap Meet
...hmmm Japan, Europe, back to NYC?
Anybody else have any suggestions?

1.   My Halloween plans this year will include       hopefully a Halloween party tomorrow night and walking Waikiki on Sunday    .

2.  My most memorable Halloween costume was   it's funny I don't even remember most of my childhood halloween costumes, one year in college tho I was a sandwich, last year I was Supergirl and Wayne was Superman (totally by coincidence)  .

3.  For Halloween this year I'm going to be       Hello Kitty!!!!     .

4.  I've always wanted to dress up as   a Star Wars character, either Pricess Leia or Padme   .

5.  Halloween free association!      ghost hunting, dressing up, free candy, Waikiki .

6.  The worst thing about Halloween is        this year that it is on a Sunday, and also how much it costs to freaking put a good costume together    .

7.  The best thing about Halloween is       Definitely having the guts to pull off the craziest funnest outfits, that on any other day you'd be like oh hell no, but on Halloween everything seems to acceptable      .

Yesterday Priya and I checked out Makitti, a new Sanrio themed buffet in Waikiki. It's in the old Smorgy's on Kuhio. I saw it in the paper last week, and as soon as we heard that it was Sanrio themed we HAD to visit, if you couldn't tell we're big fans of Sanrio. So we decided to check out their breakfast buffet.

The food was all right, it was a Japanese breakfast so the only eggs that they had was omelettes. They did have lots of fish, arabiki sausage, a salad bar, crab, sushi, tofu bar, and natto. They had a full case of desserts, I enjoyed the coffee jelly and tiramisu, Priya had something with Matcha which she loved. On a scale of 5, I'd rate the food 2.5, it was ok, not super awesome, just ok. It was pretty empty when we went, and it seemed like the staff was still getting broken in. And as for the whole Sanrio theme, they need to step it up. COME ON, our bathroom has more Hello Kitty than this. It seemed like the decor from Smorgy's was still there, they just added lots of Hello Kitty stuff in the back area (where we were not seated). They are still pretty new so I hope when we visit next time for afternoon tea, there will be more things added.

All in all, it was fun and any Sanrio fan will definitely want to check it out.

Errrrr working out has paid off I can move bookcases. Actually it's a moveable bookcase, we just had to take a photo with it!
This past Friday my roomie Priya planned a Girl's Night Out! And it turned out to be quite a success! I haven't been out, out since last August for Malia's birthday, so it was nice to get dressed up and have night of crazy fun with the girls.
Our first stop was the Edition, where we were planning to get into Crazy Box. The Edition is a new hotel next to the Ilikai. It's SOOO swanky, very Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. We started in the lobby bar, where Priya saw Christina Aguilera walk through. I got there 5 min too late, I was SO jealous. I've been listening to her song "You Lost Me" non-stop (that and Colbie Caillat's "I Never Told You," that line about his blue eyes... dammit). Xtina, I love you! Well the Lobby Bar was as far as we got, apparently the party was invite only and we didn't have the patience to schmooze our way in. We're definitely planning to check out CrazyBox and the rest of the Waikiki Edition real soon though. I hear Vanessa Hudgens was there also (V I'm totally stealing your bf Zac).
So we settled on Pearl. Pearl is just so reliable, the guest list is open all night, the drinks are reasonable and good, and the dj plays the music we ask for (Enrique's "I Like It" please!). Ahhhh it turned out to be such a good night, I forgot how much I love dancing with my friends. It's the music, I love the music and hearing a really good song just get's you moving! After we headed to Ginza, but I don't remember much other than Priya wanting get up on the light box.
All in all, it was a great night with great friends, let's do this again soon!

TA-DA! I've cleaned out my room. I'm not sure how many of you (yeah all 3 of my blog readers) know how cluttered my room was before, but let me just say it was horrible. After 5+bags of give away stuff, new curtains, a major closet editing, and rearranging my bed back to the way I like it, my room is pretty much finished. I still need to get a new lamp and go through some more clothes (yes there is MORE!). It was a major overhaul. I was going for "less is more" and hopefully I can stick with it. There is something therapeutic about just cleaning out your room, almost like a fresh new start, which is definitely something I need. You wouldn't believe the stuff I got rid of... stacks of Teen Vogue (which I used to read religiously), my basketball shoes, stuffed animals, toys, and so much clothes. Gone are all the billabong posters (except the Andy banner that's behind my surfboard), gone are the shot glasses and empty mini bottles of crown... up went art (I know how grown up of me, actual art I got from the Contemporary Museum) and framed classic rock album covers (right now it's The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour and Aerosmith's Greatest Hits, but I'm still debating between Journey and ACDC Back in Black). Thank you to my parents and Anna for helping me out big time!!

Tonight while I was putting the finishing touches on my room I watched my latest Netflix arrival... He's Just Not That Into You. Anna lent me the book a couple of weeks ago and honestly I wasn't all that taken by it. BUT the movie.... the movie I loved. I could relate on so many levels! Definite great girl's night in movie, because I think everyone of my friends have been through most of the storylines. I think I'm going to go look for the DVD tomorrow.

Perfect ending to a great weekend, the events of which I'll probably blog about later!

1.   Blogging is       addicting, fun, and great outlet to express myself    .

2.  A current fashion trend I wish I was brave enough to wear is   there isn't anything really i wouldn't be brave enough to try, it's the whole living in Hawaii thing that prevents me from doing them. It get's too hot!  .

3.  My greatest accomplishment in life thus far is       college, making it this far I guess     .

4.  If I had to choose between a mountain or a beach vacation I'd choose   considering I live 10 minutes away from the beach, I choose mountain ANY DAY. Preferably a snowy mountain that I could snowboard   .

5.  A talent I wish I had is      to fly an airplane, be an amazing photographer .

6.  A talent I do have is        bi think i'm a good listener (if that's a talent, i'm also good at eating    .

7.  This week       -end has just BEGUN!!     .

It's friday FINALLY. And THANK GOD I have the whole weekend off. What to do? What to do? First up is a girls night out, which actually is making me feel so tired. In the past 3 years my love for clubbing has dwindled down more of a like. Honestly I prefer stinky old bars like Red Lion's or Mooses. But it will be fun to get dressed and dance my ass off!
