All these idiots flooding the gate and they aren't even allowed to preboard. Unaccompanied minor? Disability, special assistance? First class? Hawaiian pualani/gold? Parents with kids under 5? Oh no, SIT DOWN!

On Monday night we had a last minute bbq at Ala's new house. It was great fun times with the old school bong crew, Ala, Priya, Gav, Cory, and Rissa (we go way back 5 years at least). And Anna came too! Cory and I were in charge of the grilling (burgers and dogs) and Priya was our bartender, she found a GREAT recipe for lychee martinis and li hing margaritas. Ala has been living at her new place for over a month or so, but me and Priya bought her these nice daisies as a little housewarming, don't kill them Bala! We need to have more of these mini-bbq house parties, next time tacos and even more margaritas!

On a more somber note, The Honolulu Advertiser has just been bought by the owners of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. It will be an interesting next 6-8 weeks and hopefully everyone will be able to keep working, we really have no idea what is next. Hoping for the best. Maybe it's finally time to really consider going back to school.
On Sunday I took a mini field trip to the North Shore with Gav, Ala, and Priya. We heard the waves would be up, so we wanted to go watch (we're suckers for big waves). We stopped by Storto's for some sandwiches, that papaya seed dressing and soft sweet bread make for an awesome sandwich. After we headed to Ehukai beach park to watch the waves at Pipe. Priya and Ala wanted to see how far we could walk in 30 min, so we walked down the beach hoping to reach Sunset, but didn't quite make it. haha we got so tired that we decided to get some li hing margaritas at Cholo's, we didn't have time to eat but after that I was craving some Mexican food. Must go back when Mike comes to visit.

Right now WWII in HD is on the History Channel, I am such a sucker for History Channel documentaries.

There are genuine nice people in the world. At Honolulu Coffee Co. the Moana Surfrider location, there is this nice asian guy that reminds me of my friend Landon (lookswise) and Chivas (personality wise, but not as passive). I go there a lot, not for coffee but for ice tea. Today I went in and he was like "Large Ice Tea?" But I tricked him this time with a Hawaiian Sunrise. I ordered a small and he gave me a large. What a nice guy, I totally want to set him up with one of my friends because any guy THAT nice (to give a complete stranger a bigger drink, to remember what I order without ever knowing my name, and to sometimes give me discount) is in my book friend date worthy. Any takers girls who read my blog? It's refreshing to find people out of the blue that nice, thank's guy at Honolulu Coffee Co.

Actually I've been having a nice people kind of day so far... guy at Hank's Haute Dog was nice and friendly, a customer who ate a Hank's chili dog gave him extra tip because he said the chili was delicious, and at work tonight no rude callers and everyone called in their basketball games ON TIME. I quote the great Ice Cube "...today was a good day."

p.s. i stop writing titles because i kept getting title writer's block.

Extra tired today and my back hurts. I need a real good massage soon, but I don't have the money for Aveda. Blah.

I'm trying to decide whether or not to get Photoshop. If you couldn't tell I got a new camera, well my dad bought a new camera, I sort of just took it over. Actually we had a film 35mm, which I asked to use since no one in my family used it. But according to my dad it was completely busted, so he bought this one an Olympus digital SLR E-520. I wanted a Nikon (like Ashton), but I have no complaints with the Olympus. Not too mention, I don't know how to use these types of cameras, I only took one semester of Photojournalism and honestly the photos came out looking like shit. This camera looks to be a nice stepping stone in my new found photo taking endeavors.
Last night I watched men's figure skating. Evan Lysachek is freakin HOT (he has a gf, tho) and last night his costume was designed by Vera Wang. His performance was amazing, I was so glad he got the gold. Tonight there's ice dancing... not a fan. BUT UH Baseball season has started!

Ala Moana

Photos from me and Mike's lunch date at Ala Moana Beach Park on Monday. It was a beautiful day.
